Hire a design engineer for AI products
I design and build production AI products end to end, from the interface to the system behind it. I work remotely from Tunisia (UTC+1) with teams in Europe, the UK, and the US, on contract or full-time.
What I build
- AI agents and workflows
- Tool-using agents and multi-step workflows that turn operational work into reliable, reviewable steps.
- Retrieval and document intelligence
- RAG over reports, contracts, and internal files, with semantic search and structured extraction.
- Interfaces for AI products
- Product and interaction design for AI features, built in Next.js, so the system is usable, not just capable.
- Evaluation and observability
- Evals, tracing, and monitoring that keep AI features dependable once real users arrive.

Questions
- Are you available for new work?
- Yes. I take contract work, either as a monthly partnership or a fixed project, and I’m open to full-time remote roles.
- What time zone do you work in?
- I’m based in Tunisia, on UTC+1 all year. That’s the same as Central European Time in winter and an hour behind it in summer, so I overlap fully with teams in Europe and the UK, and with the morning of US East Coast teams.
- How do contracts and payments work?
- Whichever suits your team: a direct B2B contract with monthly or milestone invoices, or through Deel, Contra, Malt, or Upwork.
- How much do you charge?
- Monthly partnerships start at $3,500 a month and projects at $5,000. Pricing scales with scope, complexity, and delivery cadence.
- What do you work on?
- Production AI products from first concept to deployed system: agents, document intelligence, retrieval, and the interfaces around them. I cover product design, engineering, and client delivery, so one person can take a feature from design to production.
- What’s your stack?
- Next.js, React, and TypeScript on the front end; Python, FastAPI, Django, NestJS, and ElysiaJS on the back end; LangChain, LangGraph, Qdrant, Milvus, and LiveKit for AI systems; PostgreSQL and Redis for data; Cloudflare, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes for infrastructure.
- Who have you worked with?
- Remote teams in Germany, Switzerland, and the US: a pharma AI company (p.AI), a Swiss language AI company (Nexilan), and a generative AI SaaS (AxeGenAI). Case studies for Pecauva and Three Zero are on this site.
- How do we start?
- Email contact@azizsaadana.dev with what you’re building, your timeline, and your budget.
Email contact@azizsaadana.dev or read the Pecauva case study first.
